Daniel Cruz is an award-winning choreographer, teacher, mentor, and performer. He has taught HipHop in major U.S. and Europe, mentoring industry dancers from his hometown, Seattle. His choreography credits include Rent (5th Avenue Theater), Big River, Jesus Christ Superstar (Village Theater, Seattle BWW Award), Microsoft, Nordstrom, Seahawks halftime shows, T-Mobile, Bungie, Valve and America’s Best Dance Crew’s 8 Flavahz.
As a dancer, Daniel has performed in the U.S. and abroad on stage, television, music videos, and commercials. Mr. Cruz has been in over 15 musicals at the 5th Avenue Theater, on the 1st National Tours of Fame: The Musical, and the Tony Award-winning musical, In The Heights. He has appeared on MTV VMA’s, BET Music
Awards, Much Music Awards, and on SYTYCD as a guest performer. Daniel has danced with artists such as Michael Jackson, NSync, Prince, Ashanti and the Jabbawockeez for renowned choreographers such as Wade Robson, Marguerite Derricks, Tabitha and Napoleon. You may have also seen him on Brian Friedman’s instructional, Freestyle, and Macklemore’s music video, Dance Off.
